Brad Collins - 7
Didn’t have much to do, but what he did have to do he did well, in wet conditions.
Andersen - 7
Didn’t put a foot wrong a lead a strong defence
Cundy - 7
Did all he needed to, at time played some good passes and strided forward a few times
Kitching - 8
Defensively solid, played some positive attacking passes and strided out of defence on multiple occasions. Linked up well with Styles on the left flank.
Williams - 7
Got himself a rare goal and got behind their defence on a few occasions with his pace.
Styles - 8
Looked more like himself, took players on and played a few good passes. Got the assist for Devante Cole’s goal and let fly a good long range attempt on goal.
Connell -8
Did the simple stuff well, won tackles and played some nice passes, long and short added assurance to a dominant reds midfield.
Benson - 10
Looks to be full of confidence and who can blame him. Passed well, tackled well and got another goal to add to his collection.
Thomas - 9
Looked exciting every time he got the ball. Skipped past many players and they resorted to fouling him on many occasions, a very strong start to the season for Thomas.
Cole - 8
Cole has taken lots of stick from Barnsley fans and rightly so but was faultless on Tuesday. Scored a nice goal from a tough angle. Won headers, held the ball up and played some nice passes.
Aitchison - 7
Never stopped running, created some good chances and played some nice passes, a strong performance.
